GD 204: Narrative & Player Experience examines the intersection of storytelling and interactive design, equipping students with the tools to craft meaningful, emotionally resonant player journeys. Using Unreal Engine as the primary development environment, students explore how narrative structure, dialogue systems, cinematic presentation, and player agency combine to create experiences that go beyond mechanics — connecting players to characters, worlds, and stories in lasting ways.

- Design branching dialogue and choice-driven narrative systems that reflect player agency

Course Format
This course combines lecture-based instruction with weekly hands-on labs in Unreal Engine.
